Important Update: Festive Season Delivery Delays & Christmas Order Cut-Offs

Due to increased festive volumes across our carriers’ networks, some deliveries are taking longer than usual. We have highlighted this on our website banner, but wanted to provide you with more detailed information directly.

Delivery Information

Standard Delivery:

If you selected Standard Delivery, your order may take up to 3–6 days to be dispatched from us, depending on stock availability and our own order volumes. Please note that DHL, our main carrier, is experiencing seasonal delays—what is usually a next-day service may take a little longer to reach you once dispatched.

Express Delivery (1–2 Working Days):

Orders placed with Express Delivery are sent via DPD directly from our supplier. While these are generally faster, there may be a delay of up to one extra day due to the busy season. We recommend allowing a little extra time for your parcel to arrive.

Upgrade Option:  

If you have chosen Standard Delivery but would like to upgrade to Express, please email us at orders@horseandhen.co.uk and include your order number. This helps us locate your order quickly and arrange the upgrade for you. We’ll then send you an invoice for the additional shipping cost. Please note, express parcels are shipped directly from our supplier, and shipping charges reflect what we are charged for this service.

We understand how frustrating delivery delays can be—especially around Christmas. Please know we are doing everything we can to get your order to you as quickly as possible, but we do rely on our carriers for final delivery.

Christmas Delivery Cut-Off Dates

Standard Delivery:

Place your order by **Sunday, 14th December at midnight** for guaranteed dispatch before Christmas. Orders placed after this date will be processed as quickly as possible, but we cannot guarantee pre-Christmas delivery.

Express Delivery (1–2 Working Days):

 Place your order by **Friday, 19th December at 10am** for the best chance of arrival before Christmas. Orders placed after this time will still be dispatched as soon as possible, but may arrive after Christmas due to high volumes.

Please allow extra time for your order to arrive, as all carriers are experiencing higher-than-usual volumes during the festive season. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Customer Service Holiday Hours

Our Customer Service Team will be taking a short break over Christmas:

- Closed: 23rd–28th December

- Open: 29th & 30th December

- Closed: 31st December–4th January  

 We’ll be back and ready to help from 5th January.
